This anthology assembles history, poetry, essays and stories by local authors who have been inspired by the ancient and secluded New River and from those whose lives are connected to its flow. The book spans multiple genres, including fiction and nonfiction, poetry, history and more. The passages all have different voices, themes and perspectives, but a common link between many is environmentalism and eco-minded approaches toward the river.
