To celebrate our reopening and to welcome Summer, the Alexander Black House and Cultural Museum will be hosting lunch outside on the lawn at 204 Draper Road SW.  Join us for music, classes, storytelling,  food and fun.

at 10:00 am the return to the Celebration on the lawn.  Space must by reservation call 540-443-1600 to claim your spot!

Bring Lunch, Buy from onsite Food Truck, or visit a local downtown restaurant 

We will have a food truck from Hethwood Market selling a variety of sandwiches, salads and an assortment of chips, desserts and drinks.

Plants are an essential part of human culture, a part of anything we do.  Growing them is one of the most rewarding parts.  Succulents are easy and fun.  Learn how to recycle for growing your own bit of life.  From this free event you will take hoe the dish garden that you plant, the ability to start more plants to share with friends, new knowledge and skills and the fun experience of visiting with NRV Extension Master Gardners who are a great source of help to get you to garden successfully.
